NIKHIL MUTHA

Nikhil Mutha is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Law Graduate with over 16 years of dedicated experience in Tax and Regulatory Practice. His expertise lies in Direct Tax litigation, where he has successfully assisted a wide range of clients, including corporations, firms, and individuals, in handling complex tax matters up to the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Nikhil’s professional journey began at EY Pune in 2008, where he rose to the position of Director.  During his tenure, he led the Litigation Centre of Excellence (CoE) for over eight years, specializing in strategizing tax litigation and monetizing tax refunds. His clientele includes both listed and unlisted companies, including multinational corporations, across sectors such as insurance, infrastructure, real estate, and IT. His role also involved advising clients on implementation of new provisions, tax planning, international tax issues, and ensuring tax compliance. 

In addition to his practice, Nikhil has contributed as an author, writing articles for reputed tax publications, and has been an active speaker at various events organized by ICAI and EY.  Nikhil practices primarily in Mumbai and Pune.
